Childrens Church
Leading children in Episcopal worship
K-3rd grade: 8:50 am & 10:50 am Sunday, Childrens
Chapel
Focus: New Testament readings following Episcopal lectionary,
prayers, games, acting and music in an age
appropriate worship time. Children join their
families in the main sanctuary before communion.
Junior Church
Children in 4th, 5th and 6th grade are invited
to attend Junior Church during the first half of
the 10:50 am service. Junior Church follows The
Book of Common Prayer's liturgy of the Word.
Students participate in the readings for the
day, the Prayers of the People, creed and
discussion of various aspects of the service.
Students join their parents in the sanctuary at
the Peace.
Sunday School - From 10:00 am
until 10:40am
Children are divided into four classes -
pre-school; kindergarten and first grade; second
and third grades; and fourth and fifth grades.
Each week the children visit one of the four
different learning centers: Solomon Cinema,
Garden of Eden game room, Noah's Art room or
Martha's Kitchen. Each room uses different
learning experiences to reinforce the day's
lesson.
Check oval sign next to each door to find each
grade level's activity room for the day.
Sometimes it is messy but it is always fun!
Wednesday Night
Kid's Club
Kid's club is from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. First we sing and
sing and sing for about 20 minutes, then we
break into our groups.
The
K - 2nd Grade
group is led by Lynn Walker
and Tina Whitehead.
This group learns through a story, crafts and games.
The
3rd - 5th Grade
group is led by
Jennifer Goleno. During this time 3rd, 4th and
5th grade children have club time. Club
members earn badges for group service projects,
individual service projects, prayer and
bible verse memorization, worship participation
and much more. this month we are reading
Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis.
Learning,
laughing, singing and serving others, it is an active
and enriching time for everyone.
