Cherub
Choir will sing this Sunday, December 4th at the 8:50 service.
The Cherub Choir members learn new songs while attending children's
church at either the 8:50 or 10:50 Sunday services.
Michelle Pincket, Family Youth Minister, leads the choir in a variety
of traditional and new children's worship songs. In order to encourage
kinesthetic learning, hand and body movement are incorporated with
most songs. The children hop, jump, march and twirl and also use
rhythm sticks, shakers, and scarves.
Cherub Choir introduces the children to the fun of group
singing and the basic musical concepts of rhythm, blending voices, and
simple musical terms.
The Cherub Choir sings (just about) once every two months
during the 8:50 am worship service. The three and four year old
children from the nursery often join us.
Cherub Choir is open to children from ages 4 through 9.
Children ages 10 and older sing in the Youth Ensemble.
The Cherub Choir "season" is September through
early June.
