The Cherub Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 6:00 in the
children's chapel, just before Kids' Club. The children are moved into
the appropriate class for Kids' Club when choir is finished.
Michelle Pincket, Family Youth Minister, leads the choir in a variety
of traditional and new children's worship songs. In order to encourage
kinesthetic learning, hand and body movement are incorporated with
most songs. The children hop, jump, march and twirl and also use
rhythm sticks, shakers, and scarves.
Cherub Choir introduces the children to the fun of group
singing and the basic musical concepts of rhythm, blending voices, and
simple musical terms.
The Cherub Choir sings (just about) once every two months
during the 8:50 am worship service. The three and four year old
children from the nursery often join us.
Cherub Choir is open to children from ages 4 through 9.
Children ages 10 and older can sing in the Youth Ensemble.
Dr. John Seybert accompanies the Cherub Choir on the piano.
The Cherub Choir "season" is September through the middle of
May.
