Fast/Fast Day:
A day of special devotion observed by acts of discipline and
self-denial. Fasting Days include Ash Wednesday, other weekdays of
Lent and of Holy Week, Good Friday and all other Fridays of the
year, except for Fridays in the Nativity and Easter seasons, and any Feasts of our Lord which occur on a Friday.
Feast Day: A day of celebration associated with the life of Our Lord, of the Saints, or days of thanksgiving (see BCP pp. 15-18). The Principal Feasts are Easter Day, Ascension Day, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, All Saints' Day (Nov. 1), Christmas Day, and the Epiphany.
Feast of Title: The holy day of the saint or event for which a Church is named.
Festival: From the Latin, meaning 'joyful'. Another way of describing a Feast Day.
Fifty Days of Easter: From the Great Vigil of Easter up to and including the Day of Pentecost.
