Larry Sledge, Ph.D.

Dr.
Larry Sledge holds a Ph.D. in Music Education from Florida State
University and the Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Vocal
Performance and Composition from Southern Illinois University. He
has served on the faculties of Florida Southern College, St. Leo
University, University of South Florida, and Southern Illinois
University. He has also served as the Florida state president of the
American Choral Directors Association. He has been the conductor of
the 80-voice Lakeland Choral Society since 1989. He and his wife
Jean have two grown children, Michael and Sarah. Jean sings in the
All Saints' Choir.

John Seybert, Ph.D.

Dr. John Seybert holds a
Ph.D. is Music Education from the University of Indiana School of
Music and he is a Professor of Music at Southeastern University..
Before joining Southeastern University in Lakeland as Assistant
Professor of Music Education, John taught for Indiana University for
three years in the School of Music. His B.A. is in Music Education
(K-12 instrumental, vocal, and general music) and his M.A. is in
musicology. He specializes in jazz studies, instrumental music,
student motivation, and artificial intelligence research in music.
In 2006, he presented at Oxford University and at the International
Association of Jazz Educator's Conference in New York City. John is
the past President of the Florida College Music Educators Association.

Martha Bunday, B.Mus.
Parish Organist
Martha Bunday received the Bachelor of Music
degree in Organ Performance from Concordia College in Moorhead,
Minnesota. Prior to relocating to Florida in 1993, Martha held
various organist positions in the Minneapolis, MN area. Her
teachers have included Ruth Berge (Concordia College), Howard
Don Small (St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Minneapolis), Paul Manz
(Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Minneapolis) and John Ferguson
(Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis).

Wanda Laux, B.Mus.Ed. Private
Studio in Piano & Voice Director of Children's Music
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, Wanda came to Florida in 1976 and
graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Music
Education with an emphasis in piano and voice. After graduating, she
sang through the southeast,
including productions of Hansel and
Gretel, the mother in Amahl
and the Night Visitors and roles with the
Orlando
Opera Company.
Wanda has been an
Episcopalian since her early twenties
and enjoyed working in several capacities
including youth music, pianist
and liturgical chanter at All Saints'
Church.
She has taught private piano and voice
for 25 years, engaging students from
preschool through high school,
adults and special needs students. Interest

StudioLaux
StudioLaux offers private piano and vocal instruction from beginning
to advanced for students of all ages. Piano students learn the
basics of musical notation and immediately begin to play a variety
of interesting and motivating material. As the students advance,
they move into a series of different materials including classical,
popular, jazz and sacred music, depending on the students' interest.
Vocal students learn the basics of good vocal production, breathing
and performing techniques. Students work on a large variety of
materials including classical, Broadway, folk, sacred and jazz,
depending on vocal abilities and interest. All students are
encouraged to perform in two recitals each year in the beautiful
venue of All Saints' Episcopal Church. Students as they mature
musically are also encouraged to perform in their churches and the
community.
