Larry Sledge, Ph.D.

Director of the All Saints' Handbell Choir
Dr. Larry Sledge holds the Ph.D. in Music Education from Florida
State University and the Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Vocal
Performance and Composition from Southern Illinois University. He is
Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Florida
Southern College, where he also teaches courses in music history,
conducting, and music theory. He has served on the faculties of St.
Leo University, University of South Florida, and Southern Illinois
University. He is currently the Florida state president of the American
Choral Directors Association. He has been the conductor of the
80-voice Lakeland Choral Society since 1989. He also conducts
the 30-voice Florida Southern College Women's Chorale and the
60-voice Florida Southern College Concert Chorale. He and his wife Jean
have two grown children, Michael and Sarah.

Martha Bunday, B.Mus.
Parish Organist
Martha Bunday received the Bachelor of Music
degree in Organ Performance from Concordia College in Moorhead,
Minnesota. Prior to relocating to Florida in 1993, Martha held
various organist positions in the Minneapolis, MN area. Her
teachers have included Ruth Berge (Concordia College), Howard
Don Small (St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Minneapolis), Paul Manz
(Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Minneapolis) and John Ferguson
(Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis). Martha is serving her
7th year as organist
at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

John is currently finishing his doctoral thesis in
music education with minors in wind conducting, jazz studies, and
saxophone performance at the University of Indiana School of Music.
Before joining Southeastern University in Lakeland as Assistant
Professor of Music Education, John taught for Indiana University for
three years in the School of Music. His B.A. is in Music Education
(K-12 instrumental, vocal, and general music) and his M.A. is in
musicology. He specializes in jazz studies, instrumental music,
student motivation, and artificial intelligence research in music.
In 2006, he presented at Oxford University and at the International
Association of Jazz Educator's Conference in New York City.
